Pentagram helped define the sound of American doom metal: weight, atmosphere, and riffs that stay with you.

Emerging from Virginia’s underground in the early 1970s, the band built a following through demos and rehearsal recordings before its first full-length album arrived in 1985. That self-titled debut became known as Relentless when it was reissued.

At the center is Bobby Liebling’s unmistakable voice. Through changing lineups and decades of recordings, Pentagram’s music has remained a touchstone for listeners drawn to heavy rock at its darkest and most direct.
